Sophie is a degree-qualified and AHPRA-registered Chinese Medicine practitioner who brings warmth, clinical depth and genuine care into the treatment space. She holds a double degree in Health Science / Applied Science (Chinese Medicine) from RMIT and completed a clinical internship at the Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine in Nanjing, China.
Sophie was drawn to Chinese Medicine through a deep belief that healing doesn’t require perfection or a starting point, only that you are worthy of care exactly as you are. No matter where someone is in their health journey Sophie is committed to helping them feel seen, heard and supported. She takes the time to understand the whole picture, recognising that symptoms are never isolated but part of a broader, interconnected story.
Her approach is thoughtful, collaborative and deeply respectful of each person’s lived experience. Sophie works alongside her patients to set shared goals, creating care plans that feel both grounded and empowering.
Sophie welcomes all patients and values diversity, working with people from all walks of life. She loves to support a wide range of conditions, from acute concerns through to long-term or chronic health challenges. She has a particular interest in internal medicine, supporting patients with fatigue, insomnia, migraines, fluid retention, digestive concerns and emotional or mental health challenges.
Women’s health is a core focus of Sophie’s clinical work. She is passionate about supporting cycle health and guiding patients through hormonal transitions including PMS, PMDD, fertility support, perimenopause and menopause as well as vaginal and pelvic health. Her care in this area is grounded in both clinical insight and compassion, helping patients better understand their bodies and rebuild trust in them.
With her warm, intuitive presence, Sophie creates a treatment environment that feels safe, steady and welcoming – a place to soften, to strengthen and to reconnect. She looks forward to supporting you at South Hobart Acupuncture as you work towards meaningful changes in your health.
